206 N. Main Street Demolition & Cleanup
Plans for demolition and cleanup of the fire that occurred on May 17, 2018 at 206 N. Main Street in Downtown Franklin

First and foremost, we would like to thank all our city firefighters and all surrounding firefighters, in addition to our local police departments, for their great efforts yesterday in keeping our city safe. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Carlton Cutchins, the owner of the subject property, plans to begin the remainder of the demolition and cleanup tomorrow, Saturday May 19, 2018 around 2:00 PM (once businesses are closed). Demolition and cleanup will continue on Sunday, May 20, 2018, and hopefully be completed by the end of the day. This will minimize safety hazards, dust due to the wet conditions we are experiencing and disruption of businesses downtown.

To accomplish this, the street closures will remain as is until such time as the demolition contractor sees fit to modify them. Once the cleanup is complete, the contractor will remove the street closures. If for some reason the insurance company delays this action the property will be secured and the streets will open until next weekend. At that time, the same or modified street closure pattern will be implemented to repeat the above mentioned schedule next weekend.
