Join us in welcoming Rachel Parker, owner and stylist of Image Salon at 95 East Fifth Avenue (previously Hair Designs). She can be reached at 757-562-7072. Image Salon is open Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Rachel opened in the Spring, specializing in cuts and colors. A make-up artist and a nail technician are also on staff.

New to downtown but not to Franklin is Betty Jo Bain, who has opened Busy Bee, at 218 Middle Street. A gift store offering home decor items and shabby chic repurposed furniture. Betty Jo paints her own furniture and offers custom painted pieces on request. She can be reached at 757-625-8208. Summer hours are Thursday & Friday, 11 AM to 5 PM or by appointment. Fall hours will include Saturday.
