Keep Downtown Franklin Business Friendly! Come to the City Council Meeting on MONDAY, April 22nd!
The Downtown Franklin Association is facing a funding cut from the City of Franklin in the amount of $35,000!

Dear Downtown Franklin Association Supporters, Volunteers and Sponsors,

This is an unprecedented cut of 60% of the DFA City funding. This will have a detrimental effect to some of our most cherished events and programs.

Every citizen needs to be aware of the significance of the proposed 2019-2020 City Budget. The Downtown Franklin Association is not the only publicly funded entity which will be dramatically affected by the proposed budget cuts. The proposed budget includes significant cuts throughout the entire City including infrastructure, staffing, agencies, and programs that are funded by the City.

The Downtown Franklin Association is reaching out to our community to make them aware of the importance of attending the Public Hearing on the City of Franklin’s Proposed 2019-2020 budget so they can better understand the full impact on our City and Community. It is every citizen's opportunity to be present and participate to better understand all factors that are being discussed and considered. Public input is a crucial part of providing City Council with as much information as they can to make the best informed decision possible for our City and community.

Please consider attending the Public Hearing for the budget on April 22, 2019 at 7:00PM at City Hall, 207 W 2nd Avenue, Franklin VA 23851.
