2010 Elf Parade Friday, Decemeber 3rd.

The beginning of the Christmas Season was celebrated with Great Spirit in Downtown Franklin this past Friday, December 2^nd with the Christmas Parade followed by the Elf Parade and ending with the city’s children telling Santa and Mrs. Claus what their greatest wish for Christmas is this year.

The city of Franklin celebrated its 50th year on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the PDCCC Workforce Development Center in Franklin, VA. The Gala's proceeds went to the Franklin Boys & Girls Club.

On Friday, March 16, 2012, the Downtown Franklin Association was presented with a Virginia Main Street Milestone Achievement Award for the investment of more than 45,000 Volunteer Hours since 1997. The awards were presented at Richmond’s historic Jefferson Hotel.
